Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about The Script Corner.
Please read them carefully before submitting your Script Feedback Request.
If you have a question that is not listed here, please use the Contact page.
1. Why free?
Script reading is my passion, not my profession.
It brings me so much joy and fulfilment when I hear that my notes have helped a writer with their script. Hearing from writers that my notes have helped them brings me so much joy and fulfilment and motivates me to keep doing it.
I offer feedback for free, however, for those who wish to show their appreciation, they can Buy Me A Coffee. This is completely optional, and never expected.
2. What will you do with my script?
Read it, write feedback, then send you the feedback.
I do not have associations with producers, production companies, or literary agencies. My focus isn’t developing scripts into projects but helping writers hone their storytelling craft through constructive script feedback.
I keep the scripts I receive, along with the notes, for my own record. When I accept your script for feedback, please confirm whether or not you would like me to delete your script and notes.
3. Will you use AI to write my feedback?
No. Absolutely not.
Given that you will not receive feedback generated by AI, please understand that I will not write feedback for your script if I believe it has been generated by AI.
4. How long will it take to receive my feedback?
I aim to provide you with script feedback within approximately 14 days of accepting your script.
This does not mean 14 days from when you submit your Script Feedback Request, but rather within 14 days after I have accepted it for feedback.
I will provide you with an estimated delivery date for the notes when I confirm it has been accepted.
To keep the delivery of script feedback for writers sustainable, I use my own discretion when it comes to the accepting scripts and providing feedback.
Changing demand may mean that it could be longer than 14 days before I can review your script for feedback. I ask that you be patient and understand that The Script Corner is not an instant feedback service.
5. If I want more feedback for either the same script or a different one, can I just email it straight to you?
I would prefer you submit another Script Feedback Request as this gives me all the information I need to deliver the feedback, and helps form the 'queue' of scripts that have requested feedback.
This keeps everything fair and manageable.
